Important Retreat Information

PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING A TICKET TO OUR RETREAT

Where can I find the full schedule and workshop content?

You can't!  CRAZY, huh?  Not really. Here's why:

We purposely design our retreats to reflect life, which is about becoming comfortable with stepping into the unknown.  We encourage attendees to trust the process.

By including the element of surprise and delight, our attendees can be fully present and connect deeply with the content they are addressing.  Much of what we teach can only be fully understood when explained and facilitated at the time with Sarah and Anna.

Refraining from sharing the full contents with attendees before experiencing it helps you to embrace the learning fully and enjoy what previous attendees have loved the most - that they had unexpected breakthroughs and learned things they didn't even know they needed in their life.

What you do need to know is that all workshops will have a strong focus on self-care and reflection to connect deeper with yourself.

Who can attend our retreats?

We have a variety of retreats that are catered to a variety of individuals.  Some our retreats are tailored to certain professions while others are specifically designed for parents or women.  These events are best suited to those that they are advertised to, as the content is tailored to the needs and requirements of those people.

Our Women's Retreats are specifically catered to female identifying individuals.

Our content is focused on topics that include (but are not limited to) neuroscience, mental wellbeing, self-care strategies, goal setting, work/life balance, and nurturing family/friend relationships.  The content requires participants to self-reflect and address all aspects of their life, health and wellbeing. We do ask that individuals consider the nature of this content when deciding whether to attend a Work Wives retreat.

Can I bring my family?

If possible, we'd encourage you to attend alone in order to get the most out of your Retreat experience and to connect best with others.

If you are bringing a spouse, you will need to book a "Private Room" ticket (subject to availability).  Please note that additional guests staying in your room will have their breakfast buffet included, but all other meals and Retreat activities will not be available to additional room guests.

We do ask that you come without the kiddies as each room has limited bed space and we would love for our attendees to be able to focus during meditation and restorative practices during the Retreat with limited guest noise.

Check In / Check Out

Our hotel's check-in is 3:00pm.  Check-out is 10:00am.

Can we drink the water at the hotel?

The hotel's water comes from a well and has been tested to be clean and safe.  It is perfect to wash your hands, face and shower with.  However, to save you a round of "Bali Belly", we do not advise you to drink or brush your teeth with water anywhere on the island.  The hotel will provide clean drinking water to your room for safe consumption and use.

Does the hotel have Wifi and adaptors?

Yes, the hotel has fiber-optic WiFi throughout the property so you can stay in touch with home easily.  All Panorama rooms are well equipped with at least one universal outlet for your electrical and phone charging needs, that can be used without an adapter.  We recommend bringing an adaptor for all other rooms.

Can I stay extra days before or after the Retreat?

You are welcome to extend your stay at the resort subject to room availability.  You can do this by booking directly with the hotel.  Alternatively, you might want to explore the many different parts of Bali that are well worth visiting and staying at.

Can I claim this retreat on tax?

This retreat could be tax deductible for you!

Our retreats increase your skills, knowledge and capacity to perform in your professional role, and so you might want to discuss with your accountant about how the retreat can increase productivity, make you a better colleague or help you excel in your role or business.

Our workshops help train the part of your brain that is responsible for decision making, goal setting, multitasking, motivation, leadership, productivity and stress reduction, all of which can have a profound effect on your capacity to improve and excel in your profession.

Although Sarah does look like a sexy accountant when she's wearing glasses, we definitely are not and so you'll need to get your tax advice elsewhere.  But you can read more about this on the ATO's website here.

Why are there multiple pricing options?

The venue has a selection of rooms that vary in size and inclusions.  Most rooms are unique and have their own individual features.  We have paired the most similar rooms together in order to simplify the price levels.

Additionally, in order to cater to all budget, we have allowed attendees to choose from shared or private rooms.  This allows attendees to travel alone, together, or with a friend or partner along for the ride.

We have also factored in the 21% Balinese Tax and Service fee, which is usually an additional cost to a hotel's room rates.

What is the difference between Shared and Private rooms?

Shared Room is a room that has two twin beds which you will be sharing with another Retreat attendee.  You can nominate a preferred attendee if you know a friend who is coming, or you can be assigned to another amazing attendee to make a new friend!  We will do our best to pair you with someone best suited to you.

Private Room means that you will be the single Retreat attendee occupying that room.  The room you are in will be a King bed for your own personal use.

How do I pay for my ticket?

You have the option to either pay in full for your ticket upon reservation, or paying a deposit with instalment payments for the remaining amount.  This payments are taken via direct debit from your nominated debit or credit card.

Can I purchase a separate conference ticket and find my own accommodation?

We have specifically designed our retreats to be optimised by staying overnights at the venue with other attendees.  Though we'd love to make space for everyone, the resort only caters to a maximum number comfortably, so the best option for this style of Retreat is to keep numbers capped to those staying at the hotel.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is very clear in the contract we sign with the hotel.  Please be sure to read all the Terms and Conditions below before you book as we adhere to them and they are not flexible.

Payment Terms

A full list of inclusions and obligations is found in our Terms and Conditions below.

What are the entry requirements to Bali from Australia?

From May 2022, a Visa is required when travelling to Bali from Australia for 30 days or less. You can apply for and purchase a Visa upon arrival at international airports. The cost for tourist visas is around $50 AUD – and you should be prepared to pay in cash.

Do I need to have a Covid-19 Vaccination to enter Indonesia?

You must have received a full initial COVID-19 vaccine course (usually 2 doses) to enter Indonesia, however, for domestic travel, further vaccination and booster requirements apply for adults and children aged between 6-17 years.  Please note Indonesia requires proof of vaccination to enter or a letter detailing exemption.

Other Vaccinations and Shots

Hepatitis A vaccine is highly recommended for travel to Bali and Indonesia and there should not be more than 10 years since your last Tetanus shot.  Speak to your family doctor about recommendations for your health.

Tipping/Gratuity in Bali

Cash gratuity for hotel staff is welcomed.  A box is located at the front desk where you can voluntarily put your gratuity.  At the end of each month, the box is opened and the money inside is split equally between all team members (bar, restaurant, spa, housekeepers, etc.)

150,000 IDR is recommended per day (around $15 AUD).

How to Dress

In Bali, you can wear whatever you'd normally wear on a beach holiday, like shorts and sundresses, etc. especially in the south and along the beaches.  Wen visiting temples, you have to wear a sarong, but don't worry - if you forget to bring one you can usually rent appropriate attire at the temple for a small fee.

Passport Requirements

You need a valid passport with at least 6 months before expiry to travel overseas.  If you're an Australian citizen or a dual citizen wanting to travel as an Australian, you need a valid Australian passport.  Every person travelling must have their own passport.  Like many countries, Australia is experiencing unprecedented demand for passports.  If you need a new passport, you should lodge your application now.  Where possible, don't book flights without a valid passport.  More info can be found here.

Cash is King

Bali is a cash island.  Plan ahead and, if you are out and about, make sure to always have some cash on hand to pay drivers, local warungs, street vendors, etc.

The more upscale boutiques, restaurants and hotels accept cards, usually adding a 3% credit card fee.
